More about us…

Hey everyone, my name is Michael Allen and the pretty lady above is my wife, Lori. We both grew up in small towns in Indiana and met in college. I’ve always been very interested in any and everything health related. Although, I admit, I’m not a big fan of running That’s where my wife excels. She’s ran several mini-marathons and 2 full marathons! I’ll never know why people put themselves through that, but I’m very proud of her.

Whenever I have free time, I’m either reading about “weight loss related” material OR writing about it. In late 2009, we both decided we would take the large amount of knowledge that we’ve accumulated in our tiny little brains (ok, I mainly speak for myself on that one), and create a website to help others lose the weight that we know is possible to lose.

A little more about us…

We have 1 daughter who is almost 3 years old, and 1 dog whom we’ve had for roughly 6 years. I used to be a big dog lover, but ever since having the baby, we tell ourselves that it would be completely fine if our dog decided to run away… hehe… Only kidding… sort of

I enjoy NFL football. Go Colts!
Lori enjoys reading, writing, and running.

We’re basically just a couple of regular people that LOVE life and hope to teach, and share with you the things that have enabled us to live such a fulfilling life. Once you hear about the few, somewhat, “weird” tricks we’ve learned, you’ll likely be kicking yourself for not thinking of it sooner. It’s one of those light-bulb moments.

Earlier this year we got to go on a vacation of a lifetime to Maui! This is somewhere we’ve always wanted to go, so we’d saved up for a very long time. We stayed at The Four Seasons. It was amazing. If there’s ever a vacation you’re considering, I highly recommend it. I can’t imagine a better hotel, anywhere. Here’s a picture from the hotel lobby, and another one from the balcony in our room!
